LFF Helps Jason Hale Reach X Games Podium

February 16, 2012

We caught up with Snowboardcross rider and Level Field Fund recipient, Jason Hale, right after his Bronze medal finish at the 2012 Winter X Games.

How did it feel to get on the podium at X?
This is my second X-Games Medal. The other one was in 2006. It has been way too long and a lot of surgeries and down time to get back to this point. Thanks to the LFF for helping it happen.

What has been the best trip of your season thus far?
The Trip from Switzerland (a stop on the FIS World Tour) to X-Games was super RAD. Veysonnez had a ton of good snow and the most amazing terrain I have ever ridden as far as Chairlift access. And then straight in to X-Games with the Bronze medal topped it all of. X-Games is always the best course that we have of the season. So, it is for sure something to look forward to.

What are you looking forward to for the rest of the season?
I dislocated my shoulder right after X. So I am looking forward to snowboarding with out pain. I really want to get another podium under my belt to finish off the season as well. Get back on the “A” Team where¬† I belong.

How has the LFF helped you this season and in seasons past?
I could not do it with out the support of the LFF. There are only so many months out of the summer that we can work to make enough money to get through the season. The LFF always gets me started and on track to where I need to be.
